It is my honor to wholeheartedly endorse Jeremy Boone for the GCSAA Board of Directors. As an owner of Springdale Resort, I knew we needed someone who could help restore not only a golf course, but also preserve an incredibly special culture. Jeremy has exceeded every expectation. Through his quiet confidence, unwavering integrity, and servant leadership, he has helped elevate Springdale into a place that our members, guests, and employees are proud to call home.

Jeremy is not the loudest person in the room, nor does he seek recognition for himself. Instead, he leads by example. He listens first, earns the respect of those around him, and consistently puts the success of others ahead of his own. Those qualities have made him an exceptional general manager, but more importantly, they reflect the kind of leader our profession needs.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Jeremy has become one of my closest and most trusted friends. In business, trust is earned over time through countless decisions, conversations, and challenges. Jeremy has earned that trust every single day. His character is unwavering, his judgment is thoughtful, and his commitment to doing what is right never depends on who is watching.

Leaders in the golf industry face increasingly complex challenges that require individuals who understand the profession, value collaboration, and can unite people around a common purpose. Jeremy possesses those qualities naturally. He represents the very best of our industry and understands that leadership is ultimately about serving others.

I am pleased to provide this reference for Jeremy Boone, whom I have known for more than 30 years. Jeremy and I met while attending North Carolina State University in the early 1990s, and we quickly became close friends. After college, we worked together for the same company in Washington, D.C., as new superintendents beginning our careers. The properties we managed were challenging, but they provided invaluable experience as we learned to manage turf, lead people, and navigate the many responsibilities that come with the profession.

Throughout his career, Jeremy has worked at a variety of facilities, ranging from new grow-ins to established golf courses. Although he transitioned out of the golf industry for a period, he returned when the right opportunity presented itself and quickly became a respected leader and professional at this new facility. This property was in his hometown and in need of repair. The new owner and Jeremy took ownership of a property and worked together to make it the best it could be. This was a role that proved to be an ideal fit for both Jeremy and the community.

Jeremy's leadership was especially evident during the tragic floods that devastated the surrounding area. He became a steady and trusted presence in the community, fundraising and helping in every way he could to support those affected. When the owner of his property later needed a new general manager for the resort, Jeremy was the perfect choice. He went on to serve as general manager and director of agronomics for the club, continuing to demonstrate thoughtful leadership, professionalism, and dedication.

Jeremy has always pursued excellence in his work. He became a Certified Golf Course Superintendent and, more recently, a Master Greenkeeper. He has represented every organization and affiliation with integrity, leadership, and professionalism. I would confidently recommend Jeremy for any position within any organization because of his experience, character, thoughtful leadership, and friendly demeanor.

I am proud to endorse Jeremy Boone for the GCSAA Board of Directors. Jeremy's candidacy is rooted in a genuine desire to serve his fellow golf course superintendents. His motivation is not personal advancement, but a commitment to giving back to the profession and advocating for those he represents.

Having served alongside Jeremy for several years on the Carolinas Chapter Board of Directors, participated in a First Green event at his club, and attended National Golf Day with him in 2024, I have seen firsthand his dedication to our industry. Jeremy has a deep understanding of the issues facing golf course superintendents and consistently demonstrates thoughtful leadership, integrity, and a willingness to listen.
